Overview of Sponsorships and Activities

Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem opened its doors in May 2009 and is excited to be part of the Lehigh Valley. Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVSC) has been an active member of the community in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania since before receiving its gaming license. LVSC began by reaching out to organizations like the Mayor’s Southside Task Force, ArtsQuest, the National Museum of Industrial History, PBS 39, and the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley. Since the inception of Sands Casino, LVSC has partnered with several of these organizations and they will be an integral part of the property as it continues to develop.

Sands Foundation will serve as an important partner in the philanthropic endeavors of Pennsylvania and will make a measurable impact on the Lehigh Valley. Local organizations in need of a donation or those that would like to build a relationship with Sands Foundation and Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem are invited to send information about their non-profit or community organization. Illick’s Mill Partnership for Environmental Education
MillLogoThe Illick's Mill Partnership for Environmental Education is an innovative consortium transforming the City of Bethlehem's Illick's Mill into a community environmental center. Illick’s Mill is establishing a home for environmental action to preserve and protect the Monocacy Creek watershed and its abundant wildlife and provide a model of environmentally sustainable practices and technology.


Arts Quest

ArtQuestLogoArtsQuest is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the arts and culture in and around the greater Lehigh Valley area. ArtsQuest strives to meet the cultural needs of a very diverse community, and with the assistance of 2,000 volunteers and support from numerous businesses and individuals, is able to provide arts and cultural programs to more than one million people each year


SteelStacks

SteelStacksLogoSteelStacks is a dynamic arts, culture, and education campus that will be constructed on 4.5 acres of the Sands Casino site, the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation’s land and will feature a performing arts center, festival center, music pavilion, visitor's center and more. SteelStacks will be the premier destination for people to experience the visual, musical and performing arts all in one location.

PBS 39
PBS 39’s mission statement says, “We Educate, Inspire, Inform, Entertain and Stimulate the Exchange of Ideas for the Enrichment of the Public”. PBS is a leading provider of educational materials for K-12 teachers and offers a broad array of other educational services. PBS' premier kids' TV programming and Web site, PBS KIDS Online, continue to be parents' and teachers' most trusted learning environments for children.


National Museum of Industrial History

NMIH-LogoThe National Museum of Industrial History will tell the story of America’s industrial achievements and the accomplishments of its inventors, managers, and workers and preserve the record of industry development and advancements from the middle 1800’s until the present time. The museum will partner with the Smithsonian Institution to disseminate the knowledge of industrial history and expand the collections of America’s industrial heritage.
