Sands China and Clean the World Asia Come Together for "One Project Day"

Sands China Team Members and community groups in Macao came together on December 5, 2014 at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel to build 20,000 hygiene kits that were donated to communities and charity groups in Macao and other Asian countries.

Over 800 Team Members and 200 volunteers from five community groups in Macao signed up for this incredible event. Clean the World Asia diligently collects the discarded soaps from our hotel operations and manufactures them into new bars through a customized sanitization and cleaning process. The new bars of soap are then distributed to those in risk of life-threatening hygiene related diseases to help fight the global spread of preventable diseases.

So far, through our partnership with Clean the World Asia, over 30,000 kgs of used soap from our properties have been recycled to create over 100,000 new bars of soap that have been donated to Children International Philippines as well as local charities in Macao.

Sands China is very proud to be the lead sponsor of Clean the World Asia in Macao/Hong Kong. Their objectives to assist those in need, both locally and globally, align directly with our Sands ECO360 Global Sustainability Strategy and Sands Cares program.
