Share the Best You at an Interview

In an effort to continue developing it’s Team Members, Sands Academy held a training session “Share the Best You at an Interview” to enhance skills during the interview process. The main objective was how to present your best self at an interview, focusing on five key topics: how to prepare, what to wear, how to answer interview questions appropriately, how to follow up, and how to answer behavioral-based questions, which many companies are now adapting to, including Las Vegas Sands.

During the training, Team Members partnered up and practiced behavioral-based interviewing. Now a trend with large corporations, behavioral based questions ask a potential employee to describe specific situations where they can showcase their achievements and explain instances where they have been able to measure performance and highlight their skills.

“It’s awesome that the company provides this type of training for free,” Rocio Mahoney, In-Suite Dining Manager said. “I’ve learned so much in one hour and now I’m ready to provide more experience and knowledge to my team and the company. I’ve been here for 16 years and these classes have prepared me to move up and support the company.”
