Patrick Dumont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Dumont is a champion of world-class hospitality and service excellence. As chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands, he leads the company’s efforts to create exceptional guest experiences through innovative resort development, thoughtful design, and strategic investment in some of the world’s leading integrated resort destinations.

With more than 25 years of global business experience, Mr. Dumont has helped drive Sands’ growth through innovation, operational discipline, and long-term reinvestment. His leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that outstanding hospitality is built through a sustained commitment to service, design, and continuous improvement.

Developing a Global Business Perspective

After earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Mr. Dumont began his career in investment banking and then joined Sands in 2010. Since then, he has held a series of senior leadership roles, overseeing strategic planning, capital allocation, and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Dumont has played a central role in shaping the company’s financial, portfolio, and development decisions, helping strengthen Sands’ foundation and position the company for long-term success. Appointed chairman and chief executive officer in March 2026, he now oversees Sands’ strategic direction and investment priorities, with a sharp focus on capital allocation and driving shareholder returns.

Mr. Dumont has been a member of the Sands board of directors since 2017. He also serves as the chairman of Sands China Ltd.

Championing World-Class Hospitality

Under Mr. Dumont’s leadership, Sands has undertaken transformative investment programs in Macao and Singapore to elevate its product offerings, enhance customer experience, and increase long-term earnings potential. Those efforts include the $2.2 billion transformation of Sands Cotai Central into The Londoner Macao, a redevelopment undertaken to meet growing demand for premium hospitality experiences. The project reflects Sands’ commitment to strategic reinvestment and focus on improving the competitiveness of its properties in key markets.

Building on that success, Mr. Dumont is directing Sands’ newest project, an $8 billion ultra-luxury development in Singapore, which broke ground in July 2025. Designed to set a new standard for luxury hospitality, gaming, and entertainment, the project represents the next evolution of the company’s integrated resort strategy.

Under his management, Sands has also conducted extensive benchmarking of leading hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, and hospitality experiences worldwide to inform future development. Mr. Dumont has also prioritized the integration of digital solutions across Sands’ operations, helping the company strengthen its capabilities and adapt to evolving guest and business needs.

Building Stronger Communities

Outside of his leadership role at Sands, Mr. Dumont is actively involved in philanthropic, civic, and industry initiatives. He is a dedicated advocate for Sands Cares, the company’s community engagement program, which advances charitable giving, nonprofit partnerships, and Team Member volunteerism in the regions where Sands operates. He leads the company’s environmental, social, and governance programs and its commitment to the pillars of helping its people thrive, keeping its communities strong, and protecting the planet.

Mr. Dumont also serves as governor of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and represents the organization on the NBA board of governors. In addition, he is a trustee of the Mavs Foundation, which invests in programs that create opportunities for youth, women, and families. Mr. Dumont is a strong supporter of organizations that are committed to expanding opportunity and strengthening their communities, such as For Oak Cliff in the Dallas area.

His civic and professional engagements include service on the board of directors of the U.S.-China Business Council and participation on the organizing committee for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
