Clean the World and Global Soap Consolidate to Expand Global Hygiene Efforts

Las Vegas Sands would like to congratulate our corporate partner, Clean the World, who recently announced their consolidation with Global Soap to expand their operations and charitable efforts around the world! Clean the World and Global Soap have contributed to a 30 percent reduction in pre-adolescent deaths from hygiene-related illnesses since 2009. Now consolidated under the Clean the World banner, these two amazing organizations join forces to improve even more lives through an integrated social enterprise.

LVS has partnered with Clean the World since 2011 to support the nonprofit’s mission to deliver recycled soap to areas around the world that are vulnerable to life-threatening hygiene-related diseases. Together in 2014, LVS and Clean the World recycled more than 108 tons of waste from LVS properties and provided nearly 885,000 bars of recycled soap to children and families in need.  With the launch of Sands Cares in 2014, we accelerated our commitment with a $1 million donation, the largest in the organizations history.

Funding is only part of our commitment to Clean the World. See for yourself in the video below from September 2014, when 2,000 volunteers joined our Las Vegas Team Members in a two-day volunteer effort to build 100,000 ONE Project hygiene kits for disaster relief.
