Las Vegas Sands & Clean the World Host Community Kit Build

On September 20th & 21st, Las Vegas Sands and Clean the World hosted a community event at The Venetian | The Palazzo in Las Vegas. More than 2,000 community volunteers, including three hundred Las Vegas Sands Team Members, assembled over 100,000 One Project hygiene kits for disaster relief efforts conducted by the American Red Cross for major disasters in the United States.

Underscoring September as National Preparedness Month, we at Las Vegas Sands were proud hosts of the build, which was one the largest ever for international nonprofit Clean the World.

Since 2011, LVS and Clean the World have recycled more than 50 tons of waste from LVS properties into more than 550,000 bars of recycled soap.

The effort was part of our global corporate citizenship program, Sands Cares, and our ongoing partnership with Clean the World. We launched our Sands Cares program back in April, where we announced our $1 million commitment to Clean the World, the largest corporate gift in the nonprofit’s history.  We are proud to partner with such an amazing group that is dedicated to saving millions of lives by distributing hygiene products to impoverished people around the world to help prevent hygiene-related diseases.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for making this event a tremendous success!
