Las Vegas Sands strives to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate through Sands Cares, our global corporate giving and community engagement program. Each year, Sands holds a global hygiene kit build with Clean the World to benefit those in need. The kit builds held at the different properties work with beneficiaries in most need in their community. The 2018 global hygiene kit builds called upon Sands’ local communities to join in an effort to assemble 80,000 hygiene kits with Clean the World across Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, Singapore, and Macao.
Sands works with many community partners to support their efforts in providing housing, relief, and aid to their clients, while helping promote Clean the World’s mission towards good health and well-being to populations in need.
Sands Bethlehem’s local community came together to build 10,000 kits benefitting more than 20 local charities. Their beneficiaries include Donegan Elementary School, Second Harvest Food Bank, St. Lukes Mobile Van, Allentown YWCA Warming Shelter, Meals on Wheels of Greater LV, Project of Easton, and more. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas built 15,000 hygiene kits for Clean the World to help several homeless services organizations in the city including HELP of Southern Nevada, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, Veterans Village, and more. Marina Bay Sands efforts to build 20,000 hygiene kits all benefit The Food Bank Singapore and Singapore Red Cross. In Macao, Sands China Ltd. properties assembled 35,000 hygiene kits to Children International, a global charity organization who will deliver the kits to families in need in the Philippines.
The Venetian Resort and Marina Bay Sands worked with their local Red Cross partners in donating a portion of their kits to clients. The Venetian added in an additional 10,000 comfort kits for the Red Cross of Southern Nevada to help victims of home fires or other disasters that might leave them without basic hygiene needs.
