Sands Cares and Sands ECO 360 in Las Vegas officially kicked off their partnership with the Outside Las Vegas Foundation (OLVF) with a park and trail clean-up on Saturday, March 7th. OLVF works to connect residents of Southern Nevada to the outdoors and to create a community that enjoys, values and protects these places. As part of the partnership, Sands Cares adopted Bruce Trent Park and a portion of the Angel Park Trail Loop and committed to quarterly clean-ups to keep the space ready for use by the public.
Nearly 80 team members, family and friends participated in a multitude of up-keep and cleaning projects at the kick-off event inclusive of painting, weed pulling and grounds maintenance. Projects were geared to be inclusive of volunteers of all ages and promoted a feeling of togetherness among adults and children alike.
