Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri Ring the Closing Bell at the NYSE

Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri Ring the Closing Bell at the NYSE

Last November, The Venetian Macao played host to Manny Pacquiao’s first ever fight in China, where he defeated Brandon Rios by unanimous decision. That fight showed the boxing world that Las Vegas isn’t the only place capable of hosting marquee title bouts. This time around Pacquiao, the current WBO Welterweight Champion, will defend his title against Chris Algieri, who is undefeated and currently holds the WBO Junior Welterweight title.

The two champion fighters have traveled more than 27,000 miles to promote their November 22nd welterweight title fight at The Venetian Macao, dubbed the Clash in Cotai II. Their media tour began in Macao on August 25th and included stops in Shanghai, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York. The tour came to a conclusion yesterday in New York City, where both fighters rang The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange as official guests of Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS). Now that they have rung The Closing Bell, we can look forward to the opening bell of their November fight at The Venetian Macao.
