As we continue to highlight our Team Members on the heels of Random Acts of Kindness Week, we turn to Las Vegas where Nicholas Oyola, supervisor of tablegames at The Venetian and The Palazzo, goes above and beyond whenever he gets the chance. Oyola has been with The Venetian since it opened in 1999 and has always enjoyed the support from upper management when it comes to giving back to the community and those in need. “There has always been a culture of kindness here and a sense of responsibility to help make our community a better place to live,” said Oyola. “Our Team Members have embraced all of the charitable events that the company offers and it feels great to know that you are making a difference.”
Oyola not only participates in numerous activities, he also helps recruit volunteers, collects donations, organizes activities and even suggests new events for the company to support. “The company is always happy to provide resources to new causes. Anything I present to the company, they support it.” In the past year alone, Oyola has participated in NV Reading Week, the Alzheimer’s Walk, Family Meal Service, New Beginnings Ministries and facilitated donations to US Vets.
