Las Vegas Sands Team Members are the heart of the corporation, ensuring the experiences at all Integrated Resorts are memorable. By creating a culture of growth, engagement, and learning, the company is dedicated to improving the personal and professional well-being of its Team Members. Las Vegas Sands properties have various Team Member recognition programs that honors those who are true testaments to the company’s core values.
Since 2013, Sands China Ltd. has honored Team Members for being exemplary examples of their four cultural values to be friendly, professional, active listeners, and act as one team. The “Because We Care” awards enables Team Members to support the company’s service promise to provide each guest, visitor, player, customer, and client with a memorable, attentive and entertaining service experience at a Las Vegas Sands’ Integrated Resort. The employee recognition awards honors the top nominated Team Members who have applied the cultural values in their work where guests, customers, visitors, and Team Members all benefit. There are seven distinct awards: Influential Service, Exceptional Spirit, Impressive Performance, ECO360 LIVE. GREEN*, People’s Choice, Best Leadership, and Outstanding Teamwork. In total, 430 Team Members have won awards given in gold, silver and bronze designations – comprised of 16 individual awards and five team awards.
In Singapore, Marina Bay Sands hands out “Best of the Best” awards recognizing Team Members who emulate their values and deliver outstanding services to patrons and clients, creating a positive impact to the department or company’s services, productivity, and results. The awards take place yearly with nominations submitted by department leadership and a committee that gathers to select the “Best of the Best” out of the pool of nominations. Those who are awarded with this recognition are known to go above and beyond their role and daily scope of work that best demonstrate their exceptional contributions to efficiency and effectiveness of the operations. The property honored 30 Team Members at their 2017 ceremony.
In the US, Team Members are honored with the Bravo Awards. Every year and during each quarter, the properties’ Team Members nominate each other for demonstrating unmatched service, a guest service priority among all Las Vegas Sands properties. Las Vegas Sands takes pride in its Team Members, and creating an environment that supports their work and recognizes their contribution is what makes the company successful. The program launched in 1998 in Las Vegas, and since then more than 1,700 Bravos Awards have been given to Team Members. Sands Bethlehem launched their program in 2010 and have honored their Team Members with 118 Bravo Awards to date, 23 of those were awarded Team Member of the Year. Both properties honor their award winners with a celebratory luncheon or cocktail hour event.
