Sands Bethlehem Continues to Support the Local Community

Our Team Members in Bethlehem had a busy summer supporting their local community. We are proud to have such a dedicated team that is willing to go the extra mile for our stakeholders!

1st Annual Sands Bethlehem Wellness Fair

On July 24th, Sands Bethlehem held its 1st Annual Wellness Fair for employees and their immediate family members from 8am – 6pm. There were over 20 participants/vendors, including hospitals, dietitians, and more, that offered free wellness activities and information. Plus, several financial institutions were on-site to provide financial wellness information. Employees were also able to enter raffle drawings every hour to win prizes such as FitBits, gym memberships, and an elliptical (grand prize)! This event was a huge success and we’re already excited to plan the 2nd Annual Wellness Fair in 2016.

School Supply Drive

Sands Bethlehem employees have been hard at work collecting school supplies for local schools for the upcoming school year. Items collected during the school drive include: markers, colored pencils, crayons, pencils, pencil sharpeners, pock folders, 3-ring binders, pencil cases, glue sticks, dry erase board markers/erases, and book bags.

In addition to the school drive, Sands Bethlehem Team Members are encouraged to collect Box Tops for Education throughout the year to be donated to local schools. Box Tops for Education is one of the nation’s largest school earnings loyalty programs and has been helping schools succeed since 1996. Each Box Tops coupon is worth 10¢ and they add up fast! Schools can use their Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need most, from books to field trips to playgrounds.

Victory House Volunteering

Sands Bethlehem employees have been volunteering their time throughout the summer to serve dinner to the homeless men at Victory House in Bethlehem, PA! Team Members from Housekeeping, Marketing, Player Development, and Emeril’s Italian Table served meals that included baked lasagna, fried chicken, spaghetti, plus desserts to over 25 men each night they volunteered. We’d like to thank all of the employees that volunteered their time and services at Victory House this summer!
