Sands China Celebrates The Parisian Macao’s 10th Anniversary as a Landmark Cotai Strip Destination
Since 2016, The Parisian Macao has welcomed more than 100 million visitors to enjoy French-inspired luxury, architecture, amenities and world-class service as a top integrated resort on the Cotai Strip. The property is an example of Sands China’s commitment to delivering diversified entertainment and attractions that build Macao’s stature as a global tourism and leisure center.

On Sept. 13, Sands China officially celebrated The Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary, culminating a decade of delivering French-inspired luxury, architecture, amenities and world-class service to more than 100 million visitors from around the world.
In 2016, The Parisian Macao’s half-scale Eiffel Tower changed the face of the Cotai Strip and ushered in a new experience in luxury accommodations, dining, entertainment and gaming with its French-themed offerings. Its debut marked the completion of Sands China’s interconnected integrated resort cluster in Cotai and the company’s last new development in Macao.
In celebrating the anniversary milestone, Sands China highlighted the resort’s contributions to fulfilling the company’s more than 20-year strategic focus of expanding non-gaming elements at its resorts with entertainment and cultural attractions as well as meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) assets to drive Macao’s status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
“The 10th anniversary of The Parisian Macao marks a significant milestone in Sands China’s long-standing commitment to supporting Macao’s economic diversification, while also standing as a testament to our shared journey with the city,” Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China, said.
“Over the past decade, The Parisian Macao has continually enriched Macao’s non-gaming tourism offerings through its diverse portfolio of hospitality, MICE, retail, entertainment and family-friendly experiences, while serving as an important catalyst for the high-quality development of the tourism industry.”
Sands China has made significant investments to build The Parisian Macao into a world-class tourist attraction. One of the most visible elements is the resort’s Eiffel Tower, which is half the scale of the original in Paris. Meticulously crafted using over 2,800 tons of steel and 6,600 lights, the tower captures the spirit of the iconic Parisian landmark.
Integrating diverse experiences ranging from an observation deck and the love lock bridge to the panoramic restaurant La Chine and light shows, the Eiffel Tower has distinctively shaped the Cotai skyline while providing memorable moments for both travelers and Macao residents.
Since its opening, Sands China has prioritized The Parisian Macao’s non-gaming offerings. The property now offers over 2,540 hotel rooms, approximately 62,000 square feet of MICE facilities and the 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre. The expansive Shoppes at Parisian has brought many international fashion brands to Macao, further enriching the city’s tourism and retail experience.
The resort also features family-friendly facilities such as Qube Kingdom and Aqua World, complemented by a diverse array of dining options. Together, these amenities provide expansive leisure experiences for family, business and leisure travelers.
Anniversary Celebration Highlights
To honor the anniversary and The Parisian Macao’s important place in the company’s history, Sands China curated a range of experiences for visitors, Team Members and the Macao community.
From Aug. 8-Oct. 11, the resort featured “An Interstellar Dream with Le Petit Prince,” a property-wide attraction inspired by the French literary classic with themed installations, unique experiences and commemorative products co-branded with The Parisian Macao and Le Petit Prince elements.
Recognizing the importance of culinary excellence to French culture, The Parisian Macao also featured a Celebrity Chefs’ Table series, further reinforcing Macao’s position as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Over six consecutive weekends beginning Aug. 7, world-acclaimed celebrity chefs presented unique culinary experiences at the newly unveiled Le Cristal Parisian fine dining restaurant.
The resort presented a special anniversary light show every weekend evening from Aug. 7 to Sept. 13. Featuring 1,500 drones illuminating the night sky, the show transformed the Cotai Strip into an open-air stage of spectacular light formations.
An important element of the anniversary celebration was recognizing the resort’s Team Members for their contributions over the past 10 years. Sands China hosted an appreciation event with live performances and interactive games attended by 2,000 Team Members on Sept. 1.
In addition, a Community Fun Day on Sept. 5 welcomed 130 service organization beneficiaries and their family members for a tour of the “Interstellar Stroll with Le Petit Prince” experience. Sands Cares Ambassadors accompanied participants to view installations and culminated the day with refreshments from Le Buffet and interactive entertainment such as hand-cranked music boxes, magic shows and ballon art. Participating organizations included Special Olympics Macau, Macau IC2 Association and Caritas Macau, among others.
The breadth of The Parisian Macao’s anniversary celebration events and attractions exemplify Sands China’s commitment to developing attractions that inject vitality into Macao and bolster its position as a must-see travel destination, while recognizing the importance of Team Members and the local community in the resort’s continued success.
