Sands Macao's Geoffry Andres Bungee Jumps Off the Macao Tower

Back in March, all Las Vegas Sands’ properties participated in World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) Earth Hour. Earth Hour is an annual event that encourages individuals and businesses to turn off their lights for 1 hour to raise awareness for energy conservation. There is also a challenge the WWF suggests for people who think they can do better than turning off their lights for just 1 hour. The “I Will If You Will” campaign is designed to motivate individuals to challenge their family, friends, and colleagues to take action for the planet. Geoffry Andres, senior vice president and general manager at Sands Macao, took the “I Will If You Will” challenge to another level. Actually, he took it to another 1,109 levels. Geoffry declared that he would bungee jump off the Macao Tower, standing at 1,109 feet tall, if 2,000 team members brought plastic bottles in to work to recycle. The team members held up their end. Then Geoffry held up his end.

Kudos to our Sands Macao team members for recycling and to Geoffry Andres for leading the way head first!
