UNLV Renames Conversation Series in Honor of Sheldon Adelson

Las Vegas Sands Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson was a special guest at UNLV’s Conversation Series back in May of 2014. The discussion provided UNLV’s Hotel College students an opportunity to find out more about Mr. Adelson’s path to success and what it takes to operate integrated resorts around the world. It’s safe to say Mr. Adelson left a lasting impression on the UNLV faculty and students. UNLV recently announced the renaming of their Conversation Series in honor of Sheldon Adelson’s contributions to the industry. The series is now called The Sheldon G. Adelson Conversation on Leadership Series.

UNLV also announced plans to move forward with a proposed Center for Professional and Leadership Studies. The center is part of the $7 million, multi-year gift made by Las Vegas Sands as part of our corporate citizenship program, Sands Cares. Part of our gift will also help develop a professional and executive program that will enable working professionals around the world to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary for advancing in the hospitality and gaming industry.
