The fifth edition of Ice World has returned to The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo. The annual event, organized by Sands Resorts Macao and supported by the Macau Government Tourism Office, is one of the region’s biggest family-oriented events. “Kung Fu Panda Adventure Ice World with the DreamWorks All Stars,” is Asia’s largest indoor frozen wonderland created from thousands of blocks of multi-colored ice skillfully carved into amazingly detailed sculptures by a team of expert craftsmen from Harbin in northern China. It took 300 hours for the highly talented team of 40 to create the sculptures out of 2.5 million pounds of ice.
The interactive ice sculptures are showcased throughout seven DreamWorks themed ice zones in a minus 8 degree environment to maximize longevity. This year’s event features several DreamWorks Animation characters, such as “Kung Fu Panda,” “Madagascar,” “Shrek,” “How To Train Your Dragon,” “The Croods” and “Trolls,” magically brought to life with the use of special lighting and sound effects. Guests are invited to experience the interactive winter land journey by joining Po, the Kung Fu Panda on an epic ice adventure to defeat the supernatural villain, Kai. To prepare for the daring mission, training will be provided along the way from the rest of the DreamWorks heroes. The artic adventure will journey through the worlds of popular DreamWorks films.
